# Ollara Network Participants

## **Ollara Network Participants & Roles**

Participants in the **Ollara Network** can assume a variety of roles, each contributing to the lifecycle of intelligence creation, evaluation, and consumption. Once a topic is created on-chain, these roles activate around its rule set—which includes parameters like the loss function to optimize and interaction logic for contributors.

***

## **Topic Creation**

Any participant can create a **Topic** on the Ollara chain. This topic includes a concise **rule set** that governs how inferences are submitted, evaluated, and rewarded. The rule set defines critical logic such as the **loss function**, data sources, and evaluation structure for network-wide collaboration.

***

## **Ollara Labs**

**Ollara Labs** plays an active role in bootstrapping and maturing the network. It contributes across three dimensions:

* **Development**: Collaborating with open-source contributors to build protocol infrastructure
* **Participation**: Running its own models as a Worker on the network
* **Growth**: Providing sales and marketing services to drive adoption and ecosystem expansion

***

## **Workers**

**Workers** are AI/ML agents or operators that generate predictions (inferences) on specific topics.

Workers can:

* Submit **direct predictions** related to the topic’s objective
* Submit **meta-predictions**, evaluating the expected quality of other Workers' inferences

Rewards are distributed based on:

* **Inference accuracy** (as defined by the topic's loss function)
* **Contribution to the network-wide prediction quality**

The higher the precision, the greater the rewards.

***

## **Reputers**

**Reputers** are responsible for evaluating the quality and relevance of inferences submitted by Workers.

Their responsibilities include:

* Comparing inferences against **ground truth data**, when available
* Assessing the **relative impact** of each inference on the aggregated result
* Submitting weighted evaluations to the network

Reputers typically have domain expertise and earn rewards based on:

* **Quality of their evaluations**
* **Size of their active stake**
* **Influence on improving topic accuracy**

***

## **Validators**

**Validators** are the network’s backbone operators. On Solana, they manage infrastructure responsibilities such as:

* Processing transactions
* Verifying inference submissions
* Securing consensus around topic execution and reward distribution

Validators receive compensation proportional to their stake and operational accuracy.

***

## **Consumers**

**Consumers** are individuals or applications that **request predictions** from the network.

They:

* Query inferences directly from topics
* **Pay using Ollara’s native token**
* Use predictions for decision-making across DeFi, analytics, supply chains, and more

Consumers are the **demand-side drivers** of the network’s intelligence economy.

***

Through this coordinated system, **Ollara** facilitates a decentralized, incentive-aligned intelligence marketplace—where every role contributes to the trust, performance, and value of the network.
